Gov. Espino awards P4.14-M aid to 29 livelihood groups

Lingayen – Governor Amado I. Espino, III, on March 6 at the Urduja House awarded P4.14-M financial aid to 29 livelihood groups, mostly farmers’ and women’s associations in Pangasinan, which is the biggest amount shelled out by the provincial government for the Livelihood Assistance Program (LAP) under the present administration.
“Your continuous support to the LAP of the provincial government is a sign of your willingness to continue the good practice of your cooperatives,” Governor Espino said during the distribution, as he vowed to sustain the said pioneering program which started under the administration of former Pangasinan governor and now 5th district Representative Amado T. Espino, Jr.
The provincial chief executive likewise urged the LAP beneficiaries to strengthen further the rapport with their fellow cooperative members to keep their respective organizations intact and solid.

The 1st batch of LAP beneficiaries this year to include 10 new borrowers has a total of 1,069 beneficiary members.
Assisting Governor Espino during the distribution were Provincial Population Officer Ellsworth Gonzales and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Emil Samson.
The LAP beneficiaries were: Tipon ng Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (Bani), Brgy. Paul Kalipi Association (Mangatarem), Makukuli Farmers Association (Bayambang), Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina Nasyonal Inc. (Anda), Buenlag Mangaldan Farmers Irrigators Association, Inc. (Mangaldan), Bountiful Harvest Farmers Association of Macayug, Inc (Mangaldan), Papallasen Kalipi Association (Umingan), Cherries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (San Manuel), Hillside Farmers Association (Bayambang), Sitio Vallarta Women’s Associaion (Infanta), Dangley Loving Mothers’s Association (Agno), Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina – Garrita Chapter (Bani), Alitaya, Gueguesangen, Amansabina (AGA) Irrigators’ Associations, Inc. (Mangaldan), Solid Brotherhood Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Balungao), Baloling Kalipi Women’s Association (Mapandan), Hacienda Women’s Association (Bugallon), Aliaga Farmers Association – SWISA (Malasiqui), Centro Tomas Colayo Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Bani), Mt. Zion Evangelical Mission, Inc. (Balungao), C2 Ambayoan Irrigators Association (San Nicolas), Cabulalaan Kalipi Association (Laoac), Sonson Ongkit Kalipi Association (Mangatarem), Lelemaan Credit Cooperative (Manaoag), Cablong Kalipi Association Inc. (Pozorrubio) and Nagkaisa Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Asingan).
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise proprietors who availed of livelihood aid were Golden Rap Food Products (Binalonan), Almera’s Native Cakes (Binalonan) and Marieta’s Prawns and Crabs Dealer (Dasol).
