THE Philippine Marine Corps has rolled out its mobile recruitment program in Pangasinan.

Capt. Romelito Macaraig, officer-in-charge of the Recruitment Division of the Philippine Marines, said the mobile recruitment is a one-stop-shop for those aspiring to be marines.

Macaraig said the applicants will have to undergo the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) and the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) exam which are scheduled from March 2 -5 at the Dagupan City Astrodome.

Passers of the exams will advance to the neuro-psychiatric test to be conducted from March 6 to 10. Only the passers of the rigid exam will qualify for the physical, medical and dental exams which will be conducted by staff of the naval hospital, he added.

Some 200 applicants underwent the first of the series of exams in Dagupan City.

Jemar Patrialba who came from Mindanao and Morpe Gabat of Iloilo said they rented a boarding house in Dagupan to try their luck in the Marine exam and tests.

Dumayo ako dito kasi bata pa ako, gusto ko na talagang makasama sa Marines,” Petrialba said. (VHS/PIA-Pangasinan)
