PDEA raids Ex-barangay kapitan’s house

LINGAYEN — The house of former Barangay Mermer Kapitan Armando Javier of  Manaoag was raided at around 4:00 a.m. of February 2 for illegal drugs.

The operation was the first in Pangasinan led by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) backed by elements of the Manaoag police, the new collaboration as ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte.

But Javier was not around in his house when PDEA led by Agent Richie Camacho, assisted by personnel of the Manaoag Police led by Chief Inspector Dave Mahilum, served a search warrant.

The search resulted only in the seizure from Javier’s house of five small heat-sealed sachets containing shabu, four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu and seven ziplock containing 17 ampules of suspected Nubaine, believed a banned substance, two empty transparent plastic sachets with suspected shabu residue, assorted aluminum foil with suspected shabu residue, four strip foil, etc.

The confiscated items were brought to PDEA Region 1 in La Union for documentation and proper disposition. (Leonardo Micua)
