VICTORIO SLAY CASE

THE family of a businessman stabbed dead on Jan. 28 in Calasiao has offered a P100,000 reward for information that would lead to the arrest of suspects.

Rolando Victorio, 62, from Barangay Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City, succumbed to 12 stab wounds inside his vehicle Saturday night along Barangay Mancup, Calasiao.

Victorio’s family told local newsmen on Jan. 31, they believe the suspects may be known to the victim.

They said the killing may be business-related because the victim had extended loans in the conduct of his rice trading. Victorio was on his way home from Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija when he was killed.

P/Supt. Charlie Umayam, town police chief, told The PUNCH in an earlier interview, all possible angles on Victorio’s death will continue to be looked into.

Victorio’s vehicle was on standby parking mode along the shoulder of the road. But the knife used by the suspects was not found.

A tricycle driver reportedly noticed the vehicle and saw a man and a woman leave the car and rode a motorcycle towards San Carlos City.

The victim was the father of former GMA Dagupan reporter Charisse Victorio. (Tita Roces)
