NEW MISSION: EXPOSE SCALAWAGS

PANGASINAN police took exception to the claim of Amnesty International that there is a cash reward policy for deaths of drug personalities in the province.

P/Supt. Jackie Candelario, deputy provincial director, was categorical in his statement before the KBP Forum even as he stressed that there is no demoralization in the ranks.

He said the firm action and decision of the PNP leadership to rid the organization of scalawags and criminal elements presents a challenge to the organization, to work harder to erase the negative public image owing to misdeeds of a few.

“We condemn our fellow policemen who destroy the good image of the Philippine National Police (PNP),” Candelario said.

He said the public can not be blamed for thinking ill of the PNP as a result of the killing of of Korean businessman Jee Ick-joo allegedly by some police officers inside Camp Crame.

“We take this as a challenge how to rise again after this incident,” he said. (Tita Roces)
