“This will be a big help to our pupils who are mostly indigents. In fact, malaking bagay na ito para kanilang mga magulang na mabigyan ng sapat at tamang pagkain ang kanilang mga anak for a day,” said Aquino.

Aquino also said that part of the 120-day feeding program of the city in all the Day Care Centers is the orientation of the parents on how to prepare good meal and address the malnutrition problem of children in the barangays.

The city’s 120-day feeding program for Day Care pupils will be done simultaneously with the ongoing feeding program being undertaken in the 10 barangays worked out by then Rep. Manay Gina De Venecia which is being continued by her son, Rep. Christopher de Venecia.

“We are doing is a massive feeding program in our city along with our City Nutrition Office and what is good with our feeding program in the Day Care Centers is that the food, which cannot be consumed in full by the pupil will be passed on to the other siblings so that they will also have a good meal instead of wasting it away,” Aquino said.
