Capitol fetes Nat’l Bible Week

LINGAYEN– The provincial celebration of the 2017 National Bible Week held its culminating activity with a concert last January 28 at the oval field of the Narciso Ramos Sport and Civic Center, Capitol Compound here.

Gov. Amado Espino III urged the participants especially the youth to unite and walk together to attain a bright future.

The concert featured Diva Jaime Rivera as the finale performance who sang gospel classics such as “Jubilee Song” and “Heal Our Land.”

Other performers during the concert were the Perkins Twins and singers Gabriel Ramos, Jerome Ventinilla, Cathy Amaca and Pastor Myra Jalique.

The Danggoan Pangasinan Dance Troupe and the Pangasinan Provincial Choir performed at the concert.

Interspersed between songs were reading of Bible verses by provincial government officials: Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba, SP Secretary Verna Nava-Perez, Provincial Engineer Antonietta Delos Santos, Special Events Head Marife Acerit, Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer Ma. Luisa Elduayan and Provincial Information Officer Orpheus Velasco.

Jalique said proceeds of the concert will be used for the purchase of May They Be One Bible to be distributed to poor families in the province and thanked the governor and the provincial government for their support for the event. (PIO/RMCL)
