Barangay kagawad shot dead
CALASIAO—A barangay kagawad (councilman) was shot dead by unidentified suspects riding in tandem on a motorcycle in Barangay Banaoang here on Feb. 20.
The fatality identified as Wilfredo de Vera, resident of said place, was brought to Trauma Hospital in Dagupan City but died while undergoing treatment.
Investigators recovered at the crime scene five fired cartridges and three deformed slugs of caliber .45 at the crime scene.
The police are still establishing motive for the killing. (Tita Roces)
