THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office observed the 23rd PNP Ethics Day with a program at the PPPO’s ground parade last week as the organization was rocked with investigations of accounts of abuses and criminal activities.

P/Sr. Supt. Ronald Lee underscored the need to remind the men and women in the police force to be mindful to ethical practices in the performance of their duties.

He said the observance of Ethics Day is aimed at reminding the police force of the need to be disciplined yet it came at a time when questions about the organization’s  purpose and the integrity of the men and women are being raised because of the criminal application of Operation Tokhang that led to the death of a Korean national,” Lee said.

Asec Lynn Castillo Ang of National Security Adviser on Peace Process, the special guest for the occasion, said the policemen who sacrificed their lives and set aside their families in order to serve the countrymen should not be forgotten.

She cited the active role that the PNP, led by Chief PNP DG Ronald dela Rosa, now plays under the Duterte administration and the public support that the organization direly needs to achieve its mission. (Nora Dominguez)
