LINGAYEN – Twenty-three farm mechanization service facilities (FMSF) and a peanut production by local multi-purpose cooperatives (MPC) in Pangasinan have been granted a total funding of P4.8 million by Amado “Pogi” I. Espino, III.

As agreed upon, the provincial government will shoulder 20 percent as counterpart fund (P200,000 for each of the MPCs) while the Department of Agriculture covers 20 percent, the remaining 60 percent will be funded by the soft loan of the national government from the World Bank.

The Mapandan-based MPC is the first to avail its FMSF among 24 proponent groups listed by PRDP in the province as well as in the entire Region 1.

Nine MPCs are awaiting approval by the PRDP for the delivery of their requested FMSFs while the rest are still processing their application to the program. (PIO)
