Espino hails ALS teachers

Lingayen – – -Governor Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III commended the efforts of Alternative Learning System (ALS) mobile teachers and learning advocates for helping the government in providing fresh opportunities to the members of the disadvantaged sectors of society.

In his message during the 2016 Division 1 Caravan for ALS on December 13 at the Sison Auditorium, he reiterated that his administration has set among its priorities development of education and sports to develop the youth’s values.

ALS is a parallel learning system in the Philippines that provides a practical option to the existing formal instruction. It includes both the non-formal and informal sources of knowledge and skills.

Dr. Maria Celia Junio-Fernandez, Schools Division Superintendent, thanked the governor for the support he gives to all programs and projects for the youth’s benefit. (PIO/RRB)
