Police nab 922 pushers, users

LINGAYEN—The Pangasinan Police have arrested 328 drug pushers and 54 users included in its watch list of drug personalities, and another 410 pushers and 130 users of newly identified drug personalities or a total of 922 pushers and users.

cartoonnews-161113Based on data gathered dated Nov. 7 from the Pangasinan Provincial Police Operations section headed by Supt. Jackie Candelario, added that 34 drug personalities were killed during legitimate police operations since the all-out war on drugs under the Duterte administration was launched.

Police operatives did not suffer any casualty in armed encounters.

Recorded deaths perpetrated by unidentified hitmen or deaths under investigation are 183.

About 810 drug pushers who are in watch list and another 2,220 users surrendered.

Those who surrendered under newly-identified drug personalities category are 1,530 pushers and 12,908 users.

The anti-illegal drug operations were mainly effected through the implementation of search warrants (209), service of warrants of arrest (27), buy-bust operations (511), Oplan Sita (16), checkpoint operations (3), marijuana eradication (5) and police response (37).

So far, 66.011 grams of marijuana and 727.7994 grams of shabu have been seized in the operations.

About 172,200 houses were visited by the police across Pangasinan under Project Tokhang. (Tita Roces)
