Kalusugan Karavan serves 2nd district

LINGAYEN – The Kalusugan Karavan (KK) of the provincial government is looking at serving thousands more of families to serve after 4,000 barangay residents in Mangatarem, Bugallon and Labrador last week.

The health caravan organized by the Provincial Health Office brings quality health care services and other support projects to the grassroots level.

Mrs. Espino leads feeding program for school children.

The health caravan dubbed “Pagkalusugang serbisyo, Organisado ng Goberyno handog para sa Inyo (POGI), led by PHO chief Anna De Guzman and Pangasinan First Lady Karina Padua-Espino, has visited Pangascasan in Bugallon on November 8; Bogtong-Silag in Mangatarem on November 9 and Uyong, Labrador on November 11.

In her inspirational messages, the First Lady acknowledged the role of key players for grassroots development, as she stressed that the health caravan is a way of Governor Espino “to reach out and provide services to communities.”

Nagpapasalamat po kami dahil sa binibigay ninyo na mainit na kooperasyon upang maging matagumpay ang programang pang-kalusugan ng pamahalaang panlalawigan,” Mrs. Espino said.

The Mrs. Espino led the feeding program, and distribution of school supplies and slippers to the school children.

Aside from the medical and dental services, and free consultation offered to the locales, ollyset rolls or treated nets were also distributed to public schools in the three towns, blankets to senior citizens, maternity kits to pregnant mothers and other tokens to barangay residents.

Pet owners also availed of free anti-rabies vaccination for their dogs courtesy of the Provincial Veterinary office.

The health caravan launched on September 23 is now a regular health program of the provincial government. (PIO)
