Miro earlier vowed to raise the number of drug-free barangays in Dagupan from 80 to 90 percent before the end of the year.

The newly declared drug-free barangays are Lomboy and Poblacion Oeste led by Barangay chairpersons Arsenio Santillan and Julieta Vallejos.

Earlier declared drug-free were Mamalingling, Salisay, Tebeng, Pogo Grade, Mangin, Salapingao, Barangay IV and Bolosan.

Miro said, the five barangays will be named after all the protocols are completed by the barangay officials and the police that will confirm their new status.

He thanked barangay officials for their cooperation with the police in the war on drugs and asked for their continued vigilance.
