THE Pangasinan State University (PSU) is promoting the revival of traditional Filipino games as cultural treasures that should be cherished by the present generation.

The PSU-Lingayen Campus spearheaded the “Laro ng Lahi” on Wednesday to let its teachers and students experience the fun and bring back the excitement of playing folk games that their ancestors used to play.

Dr. Armando Junio, campus executive director of PSU main campus in Lingayen, said the Laro ng Lahi is one of the series of activities that the university has planned as part of its founding anniversary celebration this year.

Among the traditional Filipino games include the sack race, luksong lubid, patintero, tug-of-war, agawan base, luksong baka, sipa, pagtulay sa kawayan and hulihan-biik.  (PIA-Pangasinan)
