27th NATIONAL STATISTICS MONTH

AS the country observes the 27th National Statistics Month (NSM), the provincial government is hopeful it can duplicate if not exceed its past performance, good for a second Hall of Fame award.

Fourth District Board Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario, this year’s NSM steering committee chairman, expressed confidence that Pangasinan can clinch its sixth Best NSM Implementing Province award.

Theme of this year’s celebration is: “Sustainable Development, Make Statistics count”.

Lined up several meaningful events for this year’s NSM: the 4th Search for the Most Statistically Developed Local Government Unit in Pangasinan, a Statistical Exhibit at the National Statistical Information Center from Oct 3-30, with displays at SM City Rosales and CSI Alaminos. Provincial secondary and tertiary eliminations for the oratorical contest, poster and slogan making, jingle making and essay writing contest, all on Oct. 11.

Various information dissemination campaigns have been scheduled all throughout the month and a job fair on Oct 26.

The celebration concludes via the provincial closing and awarding ceremonies to be led by Gov. Amado Espino III on Oct. 28 at the Sison Auditorium. (PIO)
