New manual for Day Care workers introduced

THE city’s Day Care workers for the 46 centers underwent a three-day training on the new manual for Day Care workers on October 10-12 at the city museum.

The training was facilitated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region I in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Dagupan City.

The three-day training dealt on the Rights of the Children; the Day Care Service; the Day Care worker; the Child’s Profile; the Day Care Center Management; Working with Parents; Families, Communities and Local Government Units; Curriculum and Session planning in Day Care Session; Curriculum Planning Workshop; Critiquing of Output; ECCD in Emergencies; the standards in the Accreditation of Day Care Centers and Day Care Workers Accreditation.

The city’s Day Care workers and centers are accredited by the DSWD. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO)
