Kalusugan Karaban goes to Dasol

LINGAYEN – It was Dasol town’s turn to host the Kalusugan Karaban last week after thousands of residents of Mabini, Burgos and LingayenBavailed of the medical mission of the provincial government.

Dasol Mayor Eric Verzosa was profuse in thanking Gov. Amado Espino III for bringing the fourth leg of the of the provincial government to barangay Eguia in his town and bringing health services closer to them.

The province’s First Lady Karina Padua-Espino, who led the mobile health caravan of the Provincial Health Office in Eguia Elementary School (EES) on October 14, led the supplemental feeding program and the distribution of dignity kits to pregnant mothers, school supplies to EES pupils and complimentary kits to the elders.

The townsfolk also availed of free medical check-up, diagnostic laboratory tests, dental services and chest x-ray services.  Free medicines were also dispensed. Dog owners also took advantage of free-of-charge vaccination for their dogs.

Western Pangasinan District Hospital Chief Susan Merino, Dasol Community Hospital Chief Eugenie Guiang and Assistant Provincial Health Officer Cielo Almoite were also present during the mobile health caravan. (PIO)
