Burgos-Dasol, Bani-Anda, a must see

PANGASINAN’S NEW TOURIST DESTINATIONS

LINGAYEN – Two new destinations in the province are ready for promotion after the immersion tours for tourism stakeholders were organized.

To highlight the ‘must-see’ natural wonders and valued industries in the western part of the province, immersion tours in the Burgos–Dasol and Bani–Anda destination were introduced during the 3rd Regional Tourism convention hosted by the City of Alaminos in partnership with the provincial government.

Malu Elduayan, Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) chief, , said the two destinations for eco-industrial tours, in addition to the Heritage tour, Bolinao tour and Alaminos City tour, feature Pangasinan’s best attractions for ecological adventures, and industrial-farm tours.

Prior to the opening ceremonies of the regional tourism event, the delegates were toured around the province, particularly in five destinations.

The Heritage Tour brings visitors to the Saints Peter and Paul Church and Señor Divino Tesoro Shrine in Calasiao and to the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag; the Capitol Complex (Capitol Building, Veterans’ Memorial Park, Urduja House, Sison Auditorium, Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center and Pasalubong Center), bagoong factories in barangays Maniboc and Pangapisan and the Casa Real edifice in Lingayen.

The Alaminos City Tour includes St. Joseph Parish, Plaza’s Old Houses, City Hall and People’s Park, MCV Techno Demo Farm in barangay Tangcarang, Materials Recovery Facilities, Children’s Park, Bolo Beach and the Hundred Islands National Park.

The Bolinao Tour will include a visit to the century-old St. James Church, University of the Philippines Marine Science Laboratory, Balingasay River, Cape Bolinao Lighthouse and Patar Beach.

The new Bani-Anda Tour guides visitors to the Bangrin Marine Protected Area in Bani, which a 42-hectare mangrove forest situated in the middle of the Tambac Bay where nine rivers meet, and at the famous white sand Tondol beach in Anda.

The Burgos-Dasol tour, on the other hand, highlights pilgrim sites in Burgos to include the Opifices Christi Seminary and Carmelite Monastery in barangay Tambacan and a beach destination, Cabongaoan Beach, in Barangay Ilio-Ilio. Tourists will also get to see the postcard-perfect Tambobong beach and view deck of Dasol town. (GNO_PIO)
