TWO Nigerians were arrested on the early evening of September 8, 2016 as they were caught red handed snorting Shabu at Barangay Pogo Grande in Dagupan City.

Combined elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO1) and the Philippine National Police barged into an apartment after a concerned citizen reported a nightly pot session in the area. The drug sniffing group even audaciously invited neighboring occupants to join them.

Various drug paraphernalia were scattered in their apartment while a plastic sachet of shabu and 5 grams of marijuana were recovered.

The two Nigerians were identified as Emmanuel Divine Ugochukwu, 29, and Stephen Samuel Anoruo, 30. Both suspects yielded positive in their drug tests.

They admitted they are enrolled in a local university to earn degrees but were eventually hooked on illegal drugs. Investigation continues on suspicion that they are members of a drug syndicate.

The suspects have been charged for cases of violating of Sections 11, 12 and 15 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PDEA)
