DepEd leads National Teachers’ Month celebration

THE Department of Education (DepEd) has scheduled more activities in public and private elementary and secondary schools to celebrate the noble work of teachers and to acknowledge their important contribution to the community in observance of the National Teachers’ Month which started from September 5 to October 5.

Dr. Carmina Gutierrez, chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division of DepEd-Pangasinan I said, to encourage and boost public participation, all schools, school districts, schools division, regional and central offices are required to post streamers about the said celebration.

Students have been encouraged to join poster making, essay writing and giving simple ‘thank you’ cards to express their appreciation towards teachers, Gutierrez said.

She said that students and stakeholders may also recite A Prayer for Teachers or “Panalangin Para sa mga Guro.” “On October 5, there will be a synchronized ringing of bell in observance of the World Teachers’ Day,” she added. (AMM_ PIA-Pangasinan)
