LINGAYEN – The provincial government is set to pilot its own environmental project, exchanging collected waste materials for school supplies.

Gov. Amado Espino III said a truckload of school supplies and personal hygiene materials from the provincial government will soon visit schools to exchange these for plastic bottles and other plastic materials that will be collected by students.

Espino said the project will help develop consciousness and higher awareness in students to dispose garbage properly, segregate the wastes and at the same time provide them with what they need for everyday living.

Hindi ba maganda na ma-instill sa isip ng mga bata ang paglilinis at araw-araw ay maalala nila na alagaan ang kalikasan,” the governor said during a stakeholders meeting led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. (VHS/PIA-Pangasinan)
