THE Dagupan City Water District has been asked by the Fernandez administration to align its vision to prepare the city for a “new level of development, a new level of prosperity, and a new level of growth.”

Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez articulated the city’s vision during the celebration of the DCWD’s 29th anniversary.

She cited the city’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) for 2015-2025 that paves the way to the expected entry prospective information and communications technology and business processing management enterprises or ICT-BPM in the city.

“We should study, plan and prepare our basic infrastructures for our prospective future needs, and these include our provision of clean, strong supply of water,” said Ms. Fernandez as she lauded the leadership of lawyers Gonzalo T. Duque and Liberato “Ope” Reyna, board chairman and vice-chairman, respectively.

She said three new pumping stations were installed in Lucao, Pugaro and Carael under their leadership.

“The efficiency and speed by which you accomplished these is matched by the zeal and energy of Atty. Duque, Atty. Reyna, DCWD general manager, Engr. Adolfo Valle and the management and staff of the Water District.,” said Fernandez.

Duque said he aims to further professionalize the organization and deliver better service to DCWD consumers. (JCB_CIO)
