Chief Inspector Ryan Manongdo, newly-designated police chief here, was chosen to receive on Aug. 22 two national awards: Junior Police Commissioned Officer in Police Community Relation and Most Outstanding Municipal Police Station for Police Community Relation. He was cited for his performance as police chief of Pozorrubio town.

The Metrobank Foundation, together with the Rotary Club of New Manila East and the Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank), have cited him as one of the COPS.

Manongdo and the other nine awardees will be conferred each with gold medallions, trophies and cash prize amounting to P500,000 in the COPS awards.

He surmised that the recognition came his successful community projects he launched in Pozorrubio among them the Sanib Pwersa, Papa Bear and Rubio Cop projects that helped reduce 60 percent of the crimes in Pozorrubio.

He said he will adopt the same activities in Asingan town.

Manongdo said, “God is really good. He loves us.” (Tita Roces)
