DTI promotes consumer awareness in schools

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will bring its consumer awareness seminar to schools in the province to educate the students of their rights and responsibilities as customers.

Provincial Director Peter Mangabat of DTI-Pangasinan said the series of seminars to be conducted this month aim to provide information and education to the youth to make them more vigilant when buying goods and services.

“Topics to be discussed during the seminar include Consumer Act of the Philippines; No Return, No Exchange policy; warranties; handling your own complaint; and Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003,” he told the Philippine Information Agency.

The free seminars will be held in Mangaldan National High School, Sto. Tomas Catholic School (Mangaldan), Bonuan Boquig National High School (Dagupan City), Daniel Maramba National High School (Sta. Barbara) and Pangasinan National High School (Lingayen). (AMM_PIA Pangasinan)
