Dagupan’s price coordinating council reactivated

THE Department of Trade and Industry in Pangasinan announced the reactivation of  the Dagupan City Price Coordinating Council (PCC) which will be the watchdog of prices of commodities in the city.

Provincial Director Peter Mangabat of DTI-Pangasinan said the Council will establish the prevailing prices of basic commodities as basis for the determination of price ceiling in cases of calamities.

“The Local PCC may undertake measures to improve the productivity, supply distribution and stabilization of prices of basic necessities and prime commodities,” Mangabat told the PIA.

The reactivated Dagupan City PCC is chaired by Mayor Belen Fernandez with Mangabat of DTI as vice- chairman.

The members include City Agriculturist Emma Molina, City Health Officer Sheila Sabado, CENRO Celso Salazar, LTO District head Richard Agbayani, DOJ’s Nonnatus Rojas and NEDA Regional Director Nestor Rillon. (VHS_PIA-Pangasinan)
