Sta. Barbara gets support for unified licensing system

THE Sta. Barbara municipal government’s processing system received an upgrade through the Business Permits and Licensing System (BPLS) in 2012 through the joint efforts of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The system is a Unified Form for Business Permit Application that simplified and shortened the processing and issuance of business permits in the town.

With the advent of the Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB) Program, the LGU proposed to allot P2M of its BuB budget cap to fund the Local Regional Economic Development – Streamlining Business Permits and Licensing System (Training) Phase 1 and 2.

With the computer hardware and accessories already delivered, installation of the BPLS System/Software is expected soon.
