SP reorganizes with 19 standing committees

LINGAYEN—The 9th Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), led by presiding officer Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr., created 19 standing committees to perform functions for the board during their inaugural session.

Provincial Resolution No. 2-2016, passed on Monday (July 11), approved the results of the election of officers of the 9th SP and the composition of the committees.

The members of the 9th SP are: Napoleon Fontelera Jr. and Antonio Sison (1st District); Raul Sison and Nestor Reyes (2nd)); Angel Baniqued Jr. and Generoso Tulagan Jr. (3rd); Jeremy Agerico Rosario and Liberato Villegas (4th); Rosary Chinky Perez-Tababa and Clemente Arboleda, Jr. (5th) and Salvador Perez, Jr. and Noel Bince (6th).

Other SP members are Sheila Marie Perez-Galicia, Provincial Federation President of Pangasinan Councilors League; and Jeane Jinky Zaplan, Interim Provincial Federation President of Liga ng mga Barangay.

Elected officers are Fontelera, presiding officer pro tempore; Reyes, majority floor leader, and Baniqued assistant majority floor leader.

Chairmen of the 19 committees are: Reyes (Rules, Privileges and Ethics); Bince (Laws and Ordinances); Bince (Good Government and Accountability of Public Officers, Justice and Human Rights); Baniqued (Appropriations, Economic Affairs and Ways and Means); Villegas (Agriculture and Agrarian Reform);

Salvador Perez (Cooperative, Small Business and Entrepreneurship Development); Villegas (Environment, Natural Resources and Energy); Rosario (Education); Perez-Tababa (Youth and Sports); Zaplan (Barangay, Rural Development, Public Order and Safety); Arboleda (Housing and Land Utilization);

Vice Gov. Calimlim (Tourism, Arts and Culture); Reyes (Foreign Affairs and OFW Concerns); Raul Sison (Children, Women, Senior Citizens, Family Affairs and Social Welfare); Fontelera (Infrastructure, Public Services and Utilities); Tulagan (Human Resources and Development, Labor and Employment Concerns);

Rosario (Health); Perez-Galicia (Inter-Local Government and People’s and Non-Governmental Organizations Relations); and Antonio Sison (Information and Communication Technology).
