LINGAYEN—The drug testing for almost 2,000 police personnel of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) in 48 police stations in the province is almost complete.

P/Supt. Jackie Candelario, information officer of PPPO, said only police officers on schooling status comprise the four percent that remain untested.

Meanwhile, the result of the drug test of one personnel was found to be positive by the Pangasinan provincial crime laboratory whose identity is undisclosed since a confirmatory test is yet to be done.

Candelario said another test will be conducted to confirm the previous test.

“It will be confirmed whether that police might be using a medication or supplementary medication that might have affected the result of the drug test”, Candelario said.

He said so far the results of the drug test indicate that the Pangasinan police are clean and free of drug abuse.

“This is part of our internal cleansing”, said Candelario. (Hilda Austria)
