NLEX Warriors handily beat Capitol team, 111-55

FRIENDLY MATCH

LINGAYEN – -Basketball enthusiasts in Pangasinan got the chance to watch and enjoy a rare ‘Friendly Match’ between the NLEX Road Warriors led by PBA veteran Asi Taulava and the Capitol Basketball Team (composed of provincial government employees) led by Provincial Sports Director Modesto Operania at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center gymnasium last July 1.

The friendly match ended with NLEX Road Warriors PBA lording it over the Capitol Team1110-55 final score.

Governor Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III, in his first day office as the provincial chief executive, welcomed the NLEX team, thanking the PBA cagers not only for the action-packed exhibition game but for providing Pangasinenses especially the youth with basic training course via a basketball sports clinic led by one of PBA legends Jojo Lastimosa.

In return, the NLEX team gifted the governor a team jacket and a basketball autographed by all the players.

Meanwhile, Operania, said the new Espino administration will hold more sports activities in the province.

Encouraging and promoting a healthy workforce can lead to other significant benefits like improvement of one’s productivity, business performance, staff morale, employee engagement, among others. (PIO)
