Mayor Agbayani’s July 3 Cycling Cup
SAN FABIAN will hold its first cycling event of the year on July 3 in conjunction with the celebration of the Filipino-American Friendship Day.
The bikefest dubbed as “Mayor Agbayani’s Cup Fil-Am Friendship Day Cycling Challenge,” will be conducted in two categories that will start and finish in San Fabian across the West Central School along the national highway of Barangay Poblacion. The competitors will traverse the places of Damortis and Rosario, La Union, Sison, Pozorrubio, San Jacinto via Barangay Away and back to San Fabian. The contestants will negotiate the same route twice with an approximate distance of 114 kilometers.
“We know that cycling, like basketball, is very popular sport in our province. This is why we are holding this event as our contribution to our province sports development to give our cyclists gain experience for their bigger races,” said Mayor Agbayani.
Cash prizes, medals and trophies will be awarded to the winners. (Jesus Garcia, Jr.)
