Woman survives electrocution

LINGAYEN— A 55-year old woman survived an attempt on her life by electrocution last June 6, in her own residence in Barangay Sta. Catalina, Binalonan.

Initial police report said that at about 4:30 a.m., the target victim, Leoneda Tambo was awakened when she felt her entire body suddenly shaking.

The victim realized electric currents were running to her body upon seeing the suspect, Victoria Bernal, forcibly thrusting a live wires on different parts of her body.

The suspect fled by jumping off the window when Tambo fought back and began to scream.

Responding elements of the Binalonan Police Station (BPS) immediately traced her and arrested Bernal.

Bernal and the electric wire she used to attempt to kill the Tambo were brought to the BPS for the filing of frustrated murder charge.

No motive was immediately established at presstime. (Johanne R. Macob)
