Wife shot by drunk hubby, drinking buddy
UMINGAN—A housewife was shot by her husband and his drinking buddy on June22 inside their residence in Barangay Carayungan Sur here. Whether it was accidental or not is still being determined by the police.
The fatality was identified as Zorayda Gamboa, 42, who sustained gun shot wound from a 9 mm pistol allegedly fired by two suspects, her husband, Freddie Gamboa, 47, farmer and his drinking partner Danilo Lacasandile, 29.
The two suspects were having drinking spree in Gamboas’ terrace when suddenly two gun shots were heard by their neighbors inside their residence.
Zorayda sustained gun shot wounds in her neck and died instantly.
Responding policemen recovered at the crime scene the firearm used loaded with a magazine assembly that had one live ammunition and two fired cartridge cases.
The two suspects were brought to Umingan Police Station to undergo paraffin examination. Both pointed to each other as responsible for the alleged “accidental” shooting of the victim. (Tita Roces)
