MS Caledonian Sky docks in Alaminos anew

ALAMINOS CITY—The world-famous Hundred Islands National park again played host to foreign tourists on board a MS Caledonian Sky, a luxury cruise ship that sailed from Australia two weeks ago.

Solomon Tablang, head of the City Tourism Office, told The PUNCH it’s the third visit of the ship, this time with 120 passengers.

It arrived around 7:00 a.m. with 93 promptly went on a half-day of sightseeing, swimming, picnic and water sports activities that included zipline, kayaking.

It departed after lunchtime to two remaining destinations: Manila and Coron in Palawan.

Another cruise ship, Pacific Venus, the second largest cruise ship registered in Japan, is expected to arrive here on Nov. 14.

Four other cruise ships are scheduled to dock here until March 2017.

The MS Seabourn Sojourn, a six-star floating hotel, with 430 foreign passengers, was in the city for the second time last April 5.

Seven cruise ships have visited the Hundred Islands since March 2013.
