Mangaldan cyclist rules Bugallon bikefest

MANGALDAN’s cyclist Daniel Ven Carino staged a furious getaway at the halfway mark of the race and never looked back up to the finish to rule the Bugallon bikefest held on May 29.

The teenage sensation Carino, 18, clocked the 65-kilometer hilly and flat course in 1:50:54 hours outdistancing second and third placers JayR Martin of Villasis and Lawrence Mendoza of San Felipe, Zambales by 7:01 minutes.
