Golf caddies as drug dealers nabbed

TWO golf caddies at the Dagupan golf course were confirmed to be illegal drug peddlers in a drug sting operation by anti-narcotics agents of PDEA RO1 (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 1).

Arrested were 31-year old Marlon Quiroz (also known as Robin) and companion Orlando Palsimon, 49-year old, both residents of Barangay Bonuan Boquig, Dagupan City. Both regularly work as golf caddies in the city’s golf course.

Seized from them were sealed plastics of shabu with street valued at 300 thousand pesos were confiscated on the early evening of June 20, 2016 at Barangay Gueset, Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

In a report submitted to PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr., it was learned the operation was a result of an information provided by a concerned citizen that a certain “Robin” is engaged in illegal drug activity.

The entrapment operation took place in Bonuan Gueset.

Quiroz and Palsimon arrived to deliver the ordered items and were promptly arrested by PDEA agents after the substance was verified to be shabu. The cellular phone and motorcycle used in the transaction were also confiscated.

PDEA RO1 Regional Director Adrian Alvariño confirmed that both suspects have been charged and stand to face lifetime imprisonment if proven guilty under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PDEA)
