Drug pusher gunned down in Dagupan
A SUSPECTED drug pusher listed as one of the known drug personalities in Barangay Gueset, Dagupan City by the Barangay Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) was shot dead by two unidentified men riding in tandem on Z motorcycle at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Sonny Zacarias, 35, was standing by a waiting shed along the national road leading to Barangay Caranglaan when gunned down by the two suspects.
Standing at 5’3”, wearing white short pants and sleeveless black sando, Zacarias was later identified through his file photo in the rouge’s gallery at the Dagupan City Police Station.
Zacarias, who had two distinctive tattoos on both shoulders that read of “Sonny Boy” originally a resident of Aguilar town but moved Bagong Baryo in Bonuan Gueset.
Zacarias, was allegedly waiting for someone when the suspects arrived from the north directed and opened fire on him.
He sustained several gunshot wounds in different parts of his body, three of which were fatal that caused his instant death.
The suspects fled towards the south direction after leaving a card board near the body of the victim that read: ‘ WAG TULARAN ADIK TULAK AKO “ DD (Don’t emulate. I’m addict, pusher. DDS).
Policemen who rushed to the crime scene recovered two fired empty shell cartridges of caliber 45 pistol, two disposable lighters, one USB, cash money worth Php 215 and two small heat -sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules suspected to be shabu.
Further investigation conducted by the police showed that Zacarias has a pending case for frustrated homicide. (Leonardo Micua)
