DCNHS qualified for Batang PBA Regional leg
THE Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) basketball team was the city’s entry to the Batang PBA Regional Leg held in San Fernando City.
The team earlier won the championship crown against Francisco Q. Duque Medical Foundation Special Science High School in a face-off competition at the Dagupan City People’s Astrodome last May 17.
Batang PBA is a nationwide league being conducted by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas to develop players with potentials from the grassroot level.
DCNHS was pitted against the players of Baguio City and Pampanga in the race for the national finals on May 28-June 4.
Commissioner Jack Vidal of the Dagupan City Sports Commission (DCSC) said the activity was part of the city’s sports development program that includes the series of basketball clinics and tournaments like the city summer free DCSC sports clinic.(CIO)
