Police seize more yield guns, illegal drugs

LINGAYEN—The simultaneous implementation of five arrest warrants by the provincial police on April 6 netted 23 plastic sachets of shabu, three guns, 14 magazines and 595 live ammunitions.
In San Nicolas, seven sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia were confiscated from Efren Reyes, a resident of Barangay Sta. Maria, upon the implementation of the search warrant against the suspect.
In Lingayen, when the search warrant for violation of illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions was served against Philippine Air Force retiree Florendo Viray, seven short magazine for caliber 5.56 (M16), four long magazine for caliber 5.56 (M16), 391 pieces of live ammunitions 5.56 for M16, six pieces of live ammunitions .380, 24 pieces of live ammunitions for caliber 45, 135 pieces of live ammunitions for caliber .22, three pieces of live ammunitions for carbine and one magazine for caliber 45 were seized from his house in Sitio Sagur Barangay Sabanagan, Lingayen.
When the search warrant against another PAF retiree, Teodoro Viray, in the same town, was served, 11 live ammunitions for caliber 45 were seized although Viray was not in his house.
In Bayambang, the search warrants served against Raymund Esguerra and Dennis De Guzman, both residents of Barangay Buenlad Bayambang, resulted in the confiscation of two small heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu and one caliber .32 from Esguerra.
From De Guzman, 13 large sachets and one small sachet of shabu along with other drug paraphernalia, one caliber 45 mark Colt, two magazines for caliber 45, nine live ammunition for caliber 45, one caliber 22Â revolver without marking and 11 live ammunitions for caliber 22 were seized.
In Barangay Eguia Dasol, authorities confiscated five live ammunitions for caliber .38 revolver from the house of Darwin Migano, the subject of the search warrant.
Cases were filed against the suspects while the confiscated items are in the custody of the police stations. (Hilda Austria)
