A MAN listed as number 2 in the drug watch list of the police in Dagupan City and his companion were arrested last Thursday, March 31, at the Tondaligan Park in Bonuan Gueset in a buy-bust operation.

Arrested by intelligence agents of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group in a buy-bust operation particularly at the back of Tondaligan Hotel, were Catalino Gonzales, alias “Lino” or “Sali”, 50, and one Nelson Salguet, 48, of Maligaya Street, Bonuan Gueset.

They were arrested as soon as they sold one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to the undercover police officer who posed as buyer.

After their arrest, another three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu were recovered from their possession control and custody each of them.

Prior to their arrest, the police received a report from a concerned citizen that Gonzales was in the area selling shabu.

A case for violation of Article II, Sec 5 and Sec 11 of Republic Act 9165 is now being readied against the suspects. (Leonardo Micua)
