THERE will be no mall voting at Robinson’s Place in Calasiao but expect one to be held at CB Mall in Urdaneta City for the May 9 election.

This was bared by Michael Sarmiento, municipal election officer of Lingayen, during the KBP Forum on Thursday.

He said the public consultations conducted at Robinson’s Place in Calasiao and CB Mall in Urdaneta in February were attended by their then regional director Noli Pipo and then Provincial Elections Supervisor Marino Salas. The people of Calasiao who attended the consultation at Robinson’s Place rejected mall voting while those who attended the public consultation at CB Mail in Urdaneta endorsed the idea.

Sarmiento said the provincial elections office submitted the report to the Commission on Elections reflecting the sentiments manifested during the consultations and he expects these to be implemented.

He added there will likely be mall voting at the CB Mall for voters of two clustered precincts in Barangay Nancayasan, Urdaneta City. (Leonardo Micua)
