THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conducted truck-rebuilding assessment of Mhel Bhen Motors, a truck rebuilder in Lingayen in compliance with the Department Administrative Order No. 08 Series of 2003 which mandates that all truck rebuilding establishments must be accredited by DTI before they can legally engage in the business of truck rebuilding.

DTI Provincial Director Peter Mangabat said the main objective of DAO No.08 is to assure the public that all rebuilt trucks are safe and roadworthy and meet the standards on exhaust emission.

At present Mhel Bhen Motors, owned and managed by Benjamin H. Navarro, is only one of two firms that provide truck-rebuilding services in Pangasinan. The other is the Azian Enterprises located in San Carlos City.

DTI Pangasinan’s assessment team found no deficiencies.
