177 kilos of ‘hot meat’ seized in Lingayen

LINGAYEN—Elements of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) seized 177.85 kilos of hot meat on April 11 at the town public market and in Barangay Dulag here.

Dr. Eduardo Oblena, Meat Control Officer of the Department of Agriculture in Barangay Anonas West, Urdaneta City Pangasinan, in coordination with Lingayen Police Station, confiscated the hot meat for violating orders on hygienic handling of chilled, frozen and thawed meat in markets as well as on the importation of buffalo meat and meat products from India.

The confiscated hot meat was disposed and buried at the compound of Lingayen Slaughter House in Barangay Domalandan West here. (Tita Roces)
