LINGAYEN—Despite being unopposed in the second district. Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil will still move around the district to campaign.

“It will be better organized, more exciting, and more interesting salvo,” said Bataoil of his campaign kickoff on March 26.

Asked of why he still keeps on going around the district despite a guaranteed third term, Bataoil said: “I look at this situation, being unopposed, as an expression of trust and confidence, by not only our constituents but including the would-be opponents. Therefore, I should not fail their expectations, the more that I should work harder.”

Meanwhile, the solon applauded the approval of the Salary Standardization Law but expressed hope that it will soon accommodate the military and the police because he said what is included is only their allowances. (Johanne Macob)
