PNP honors 13 outstanding policemen

LINGAYEN – The Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Office 1 cited 13 police officers assigned to the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office for exemplary performance in the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.

P/Chief Supt. Ericson Velasquez, acting regional director of PNP-Region 1, presented the Medalya ng Papuri to P/Superintendents Benjamin Ariola and Rodolfo Castro, Jr.; SPO4 Rex Balanon, SPO2s Flash Ferrer and Sherwin Cuenta, SPO1 Alvin Boquiren, PO3s Jojo Vallo, Gerry Gawat, Clyde Bacalzo, Daniel Irenio Dizon and Maricel Perreras; PO2s, Frederick Sabang, and PO2 Geneshar Castro.

Awarded with plaque of recognition are the police stations of Dagupan City, Lingayen, Urdaneta City, and Binalonan while PPO Provincial Intelligence Branch was presented a certificate of commendation for its outstanding performance in gathering information which served as a basis for the successful operations conducted in 2013 to 2015.

Also recognized for their invaluable service in the implementation of the Oplan Huli Day and Arrest Day were Supt. Marlon Canam, Supt. Rodolfo Castro, Jr., Supt. Ferdinand De Asis, Supt. Benjamin Ariola, Chief Insp. Fidel Junio, PO2 Benidict Cruz, PO1 Nikko Andrew Evangelista, and PO1 Romel Casaclang.

Velasquez, who was the guest speaker during the 25th PNP Foundation Day celebration held at the Pangasinan Provincial Police headquarter here on Wednesday, congratulated the PPPO for living up to the standards set by predecessors.

“The accomplishment of one office does not call for the numbers, it is the quality of service we give to the people,” Velasquez said as he emphasized that police officers are “the backbone of the institutions that play a vital role in the country.” (PIA-1, Pangasinan)
