Capitol employees honor, applaud Gov. Espino

FOR OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP

LINGAYEN – What was supposed to be a regular awarding of outstanding departments and divisions of the provincial government for the 5th Employees Awards and Recognition ceremony last January 22 at the Sison Auditorium, the awardees, officials and employees surprised Gov. Amado T. Espino with their own emotional citation and acknowledgment of his leadership and management marked by a standing ovation and applause.

After Mr. Espino paid tribute to the year’s awardees and those before them since he assumed his post as governor in 2007, the year’s honorees called on him to accept the plaque of appreciation of the provincial government’s workforce for his services as an outstanding governor of the province.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) also awarded Mr. Espino a plaque of appreciation “for his strong commitment and support to all programs and projects that would enhance the capability of all employees”.

In his speech, the Governor credited the teamwork and the standard of excellence of the rank and file of the provincial government that not only earned the recognition of his administration’s various achievements but prestigious awards for various public services in both regional and national levels.

The year’s awardees were: Governor’s Award for Service Excellence (Office Category): Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO); (Hospital category). Bolinao Community Hospital. PESO head Alex Ferrer was cited as the Best Performing Office Chief while Dr. Vivian A. Villar-Espino was named Best Performing Hospital Chief.

Innovative Program Award: Provincial Health Office’s Integrated TB and other Infectious Diseases Caravan project and the Provincial Agriculture Office’s Accelerated Rice Seed Production and Distribution program.

Best Performing Hospitals: Bolinao Community Hospital and Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital.

Program Management Award: Provincial Legal Office and EPDH.

Best Performing Offices: Provincial Planning and Development Office, Provincial Treasury Office, and Provincial Engineering Office. Dasol Community Hospital and EPDH.

Good Housekeeping Award: Provincial Budget Office, Provincial Tourism and General Services Offices.

People’s Choice Award: Henry E. Cruz and Lilibeth N. Rivera.

Public Preference Choice Award: Mangatarem District Hospital and Administrative Division of the Provincial Governor’s Office.

Special Citations: Ronald Sukardi Q. Mina and Lolita DC. Cruz.

Longevity award were also distributed to some 61 retirees who have rendered decades of service to the provincial government.

Aside from plaques and certificates, all awardees have each received corresponding cash incentives which varies from P3,000 to as high as P30,000. (PIO/RRB)
