7 missing minors rescued

ALAMINOS CITY–Seven minors earlier reported to be missing were rescued by the police last January 25, 2016 at a house in Barangay Pogo, Alaminos City.

Rescued were Ailyn Kim Opolinto, 14 years old, Sabrina Cabanban, 16,  Wennilyn Humilde,14;  Rubilyn Villanueva, 16, all residing in Barangay Tiep, Bani; Jerome Soriano, 16, of Barangay Quinaoayanan, Bani; Jhomar Ken Radoc, 17, of Barangay Poblacion, and Mark Christopher Cerdan, 17, of  Barangay San Roque, both of Alaminos City.

All seven were found in the custody of Christina Reyes, 46, single parent and her son Christian Reyes, 22, both of Barangay San Roque, Alaminos City.

Initially, only Villanuea and Radoc were the subjects of a search based after their mothers Beverly Villanueva and Mary Ann Radoc, began searching for their daughters who were missing since January 23.

With the assistance of the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) personnel, Civilian Volunteer Organization officer Florante Enriquez of Pogo, Alaminos City and one Oliver Ambaliza, they were able to trace the whereabouts of the two girls.

They found the two girls and the four others hidden inside a closet.

A case of kidnapping and serious illegal detention are being prepared against the suspects. (Leonardo Micua)
