MOTHER Goose Special Science High School’s John Vasquez and Ren Bistudio dominated the 2015 Batang Pinoy National Championship held last Nov 26 to Dec 3 in Cebu City.

Vasquez won 3 gold medals in the Advance Kata Minus 49kg Kumite Team Kata category and was declared as champion while Bistudio clinched 2 bronze medals in the Novice Kata Minus 53 kg Kumite category.

“We worked very hard and I’m so happy when I was adjudged champion,” said Vasquez.

“Although being an athlete and a student takes a lot of responsibility, I know that I can balance both,” he added.

“Winning brings me to a whole new level and I’m excited for the years to come.” said Bistudio after the championship.

Vasquez, whose trainer is his dad, also the president of Philippine Karatedo. is now preparing for the Okazaki Invitational Cup and competitions in Vietnam and Brunei set on the first quarter of 2016.
