VMUF honors faculty researchers

TEN faculty researchers were cited by Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation (VMUF) in San Carlos City as outstanding as Research Achievers during the 57th Solemn Investiture and Commencement Exercises held last November 12 at the VM Centrum Building. 

Named outstanding faculty on Research Publication this year are:

1) Dr. Gerard Q. De Guzman who published “Mount Malinao (Albay, Philippines) Revisited: Diversity and Ethnomedicinal Studies”, “Comparative in vitro antioxidative properties of statins”, “The anti-depressant and anxiolytic properties of the lyophilized aqueous leaf extract of Mimosa pudica L. (Fabaceae)”, and “Comparative In Vitro Dissolution Profile of Commercial  Azithromycin Dihydrate 500 mg Tablet Preparations in the Philippines.”

2) Carlo Paul C. Sana published “A Voyage to the Twilight: Exploring Death Preparation among the Elderly.”

3) Dean Shiela DV. Miranda, “Comparative in vitro antioxidative properties of statins”,

 

4) Sandra M. Valentin, “The anti-depressant and anxiolytic properties of the lyophilized aqueous leaf extract of Mimosa pudica L. (Fabaceae)”

5) Rosalyn G. Rosal, “Comparative In Vitro Dissolution Profile of Commercial Azithromycin Dihydrate 500 mg Tablet Preparations in the Philippines”

6) Raymund S. Erguiza, “Comparative In Vitro Dissolution Profile of Commercial Azithromycin Dihydrate 500 mg Tablet Preparations in the Philippines”

 

Also named outstanding faculty on Research Presentation are Joella M. Estrada and Ariel C. Bacani, for their exemplary performance as International Presenters in Asian Bioethics Conference, and Recipients of Masters of Bioethics for Global Public Health Scholarship at American University for Sovereign Nations, Arizona, USA.

 

Director Jimmy G. Catanes and Holden Kirby M. Valdez were named outstanding faculty on Creative Research. Catanes was awarded for being a National Qualifier for DOST Best Mentor for Health Research and Champion of DOST Likha Award while Valdez was 2nd Runner-up in the DOST Best Utility Model.
VMUF President Dr. Ma. Lilia P. Juan congratulated the faculty researchers-awardees for maintaining and improving the good name of the University especially in the field of research.  (Norman C. Caguioa)
