RTC Judge is Bedan Awardee in Law
HON. Jose Marie Arzadon Quimboy, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 94, Mariveles, Bataan (Dagupan City National High School, 1982; A.B. Political Science, cum laude, University of Pangasinan, 1985) will receive the Bedan Recognition Award for exemplary achievement in the field of law and embodiment of the Benedictine ideals of peace, work and prayer on 30 November 2015 from the San Beda Law Alumni Association (SBLAA) at the Grand Ballroom, City of Dreams Manila. Atty. Avelino V. Cruz and Atty. Alfredo R. Rosal, Jr. served as chairman of SBLAA and chairman of the Awards Committee, respectively.
Judge Quimboy, a Dagupeño, teaches law at the Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation and the University of Pangasinan – PHINMA. He was an Assistant Professorial Lecturer, Commercial Law Department, De La Salle University, Manila.
Prior to his appointment to the judiciary, he served as Associate Lawyer of Rivera Santos and Maranan Law Offices in Ortigas, Pasig City; Legal Counsel of Central Azucarera Don Pedro in Nasugbu, Batangas; and Legal Manager, Land Bank of the Philippines in Manila.
His commentary on the Supreme Court’s rulings in just compensation cases was published in the Supreme Court Reports Annotated (SCRA, Vol. 676) and The Lawyers Review (January 2009).
